Frequently Asked QuestionsAppointments? Consultations?
WHEN BOOKS ARE OPEN - fill out the tattoo request form provided on website (here). This form gives me an idea of your future tattoo, without having to ask a hundred back and forth questions. What types of tattoos do you prefer? While Im open to subject matter and ideas, I focus my style on: black & gray realism (portraits, skulls, flowers), trash polka / abstract black & gray, mandalas & linework. Click here to see example image of these. No cover/fix ups. Im all about clients getting the best tattoo they can. Thse are the styles I am most passionate about. There are lots of artists out there. You should definitely go to one who is stoked about doing your tattoo as you are. Whats your schedule like? I am appointment only. I book out a few months at a time. I do have occasional openings for very, very small tattoos. If I am not available, reach out to our shop facebook. We have plenty of other talented artists at our shop I can refer you to https://m.facebook.com/blackdahliatattoogallery/ Rates? How much will my tattoo cost? My prices are based on half and full days. $300 half day (3hrs) $600 full day (6hrs) $150 hourly rates for projects that do not fall under those categories. If your price shopping I am not the artist for you; I value quality over quantity. I am average and fair in prices so don’t haggle me please. If you have a buddy that can do it for less, just go to them. Do I have to have a consultation? Yes. It is easier in person to get a feel for what you're looking for in your future tattoo. There is no charge for consultations. There may be a required deposit if we proceed with the booking process. Consultations are 10-20 minutes on average. Deposits? Deposits are required for all tattoo appointments. This will be $100 and go towards your tattoo. As well as secures your spot in my schedule. Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule just let me know! Life happens and I get it. Deposits can be transferred to your new tattoo date if you communicate with me about it. I ask for at least 72 hours notice please. If you no-call no-show, or tell me the night before, I'm not going to be so understanding. Cancellations and Reschedules? Not a problem! Life can get busy and things come up. Please provide as much notice as possible (preferably 72 hours or more). Deposits will roll over into re-scheduled day and time (no need for second deposit). Finishing others artists' work and cover-ups? Going to be turned away at this time. I’m all about people getting the best tattoo that they can, and I am not the best at cover-ups lets just be honest here. You should definitely go to an artist who is stoked about doing your tattoo, and will give you the best work possible. Drawings? Without an appointment in place or deposit, drawings will not be provided. If we have an appointment set, we can set up a time and day to see the drawing beforehand. Although I prefer to do everything same day. If you do not have an appointment, no, I will not draw something up if “I feel like it in my free time.” Do you enjoy working for free after work? Thats not meant to be a rude just honest. I love drawing but if I have free time I’m going to be putting it towards my future tattoo appointments. My appointment is weeks away, when will you start drawing on it? Focusing on each individual week at a time, stencils for appointments will be drawn in certain order to keep things efficient and organized. As the week approaches for your tattoo, it will then become part of my focus and priority. Stencils are on average ready 1-3 days in advance depending on the size and detail of the design. Stencils are not sent out and must been seen in person. Where are you located? Currently at Black Dahlia Tattoo Gallery 37812 Vine Street WIlloughby, OH 44094 How can I pay?
